How It Works

Proteins and organic compounds in water have an amphiphilic molecular structure — they naturally adhere to the interface between air and water (the surface of bubbles). The protein skimmer harnesses this property by generating ultra-fine bubbles that carry organic matter upward and out of the water.

Treatment Process

① Water Intake Contaminated aquaculture water enters the bottom of the skimmer.

② Micro-Bubble Generation A needle wheel pump produces bubbles under 0.1mm, maximizing surface area for adsorption.

③ Organic Adsorption Rising bubbles capture proteins and organic compounds on their surfaces.

④ Foam Separation Organic-laden foam overflows into the collection cup, removing concentrated waste (skimmate).

⑤ Clean Water Return Purified water returns to the tank with elevated dissolved oxygen (DO).
